Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
Dear Parents and Carers,
The following videos have been compiled to share with your child so that they know what to expect when they return to school next week. Please take some time to watch the relevant video with them so that they (and you) know what time to arrive at school, which entrance to use, what measures have been put in place and what the arrangements for drop off and pick up are.

Please don't forget that places for Breakfast Club and After School Club for September need to be booked via the Google Forms. If you have not already done this, please could you complete this as soon as possible. This will allow us to ensure we have enough space to accommodate everyone whilst staying within the DfE Guidelines to help limit the spread of COVID-19. The links to the forms are below. Once the forms close you will be notified if you have a place and can then make payment on Parent Pay.
https://forms.gle/nbFHyoDhvXfLoKXy9 Week beginning Monday Sept 7th - form closes Fri 28th August

We hope to return to "normal" booking via Parent Pay once we get to October.
Breakfast and After School Hub will be available as a payable service from September 7th 2020. However, due to the current guidelines and restrictions placed on us by the DfE, we will have to strictly limit the number of pupils who attend each session. For this reason you will not be able to use ParentPay to book sessions for September. Instead we would ask you to complete the Google Form for each week so that we can be sure that we are not exceeding permitted numbers. The spaces will be allocated on a first come first served basis. You will be notified by email if you have been allocated a space.
The charges for this service are:
Breakfast £3 per child 7:30-8:45am
After School £5.25 per child until 4pm £7.35 per child until 6pm
During September we are unable to provide breakfast or snacks. This will be reviewed as soon as we are able.
Please use the Google Form to book as follows:
Monday 7th September Deadline: Friday 28th August https://forms.gle/a6rxFBFksWbU4Z5s5

On Thursday 13th February Ms Christian and Ms Porter will be offering you the chance to come and take place in an online safety workshop. This will be chance for you to receive updates and advice about online safety and other technology issues. It will also be an opportunity for you to ask questions about these issues. We hope that as many of you will be able to attend as possible.
Workshop 1 6:15pm-7:15pm (during the Y3/4 disco)
Workshop 2 (a repeat of workshop 1) 7:30pm-8:30pm (during the Y5/6 disco)
We have timed these to coincide with the discos so that you can drop the children off in the hall and come and join us for the workshop. However, the workshops are not only open for Y3-Y6 parents and carers. Everyone is, of course, very welcome.
We look forward to seeing you there.
Here at Shiphay we very much value your views and opinions. When members of SLT are at the gate in the mornings and after school, we often have the chance to talk to some of you and hear your ideas about our school. So that we can gather information from a wider audience and give everyone in our school community the opportunity to share their ideas, we have created a parent survey and would like to invite you all to have your say. The survey covers a wide range of aspects of school life and is mostly multiple choice. However, there is also the opportunity to write in more detail if you have specific things you would like to share and, of course, you are always welcome to make contact if you wish to discuss something in person.
The survey has been compiled using Google Forms and all you need to do is click the link that has been sent home via WEDUC and complete the form. This can be done on any device. If you prefer to complete a paper version of the survey, copies of this are available in the School Office.
The choice as to whether you add your name to the survey is entirely yours. It can be completed anonymously. However, if you add your name at the end, this may allow us to follow up any issues you have mentioned.
Please complete the survey by Friday February 14th.
Thank you for your time and support
