The Hub
The Hub - our extended schools provision
At Shiphay Learning Academy we run our own Extended School facilities with after-school and holiday provisions.
We ensure that all the staff employed as Co-ordinators and Play Leaders are trained in Thrive principles and are able to continue our approaches to play, social, emotional and intellectual development in a seamless manner.
All The Hub staff are employed by our Academy in other roles, supporting the children's social, emotional and academic learning.
The Hub encompasses:
- Breakfast Hub - 7.30 a.m. until the start of the school day, Mon to Fri during term time
- After-School Hub - 3.15 p.m. - 6.00 p.m. Mon to Fri during term time
- Holiday Hub - 7.30 a.m. - 6.00 p.m. Mon to Fri during the school holidays including non-pupil days but not during the Christmas holiday.
