Shiphay Learning Academy is a happy place where children learn to be part of a diverse community, where they are prepared for life beyond primary school and where learning is an experience to be enjoyed.

This is true of all the schools in our trust. From the moment Riviera Education Trust was founded in 2015, we have understood that each of our schools, just like our children, is unique. Our academies serve different communities in different contexts, but we share a common goal: to inspire the individuals of today, for a better society tomorrow.

Our trust values of aspiration, belonging and collaboration underpin our commitment to improving the life chances and choices of all children, regardless of race, gender, background or ability, through constant reflection and improvement.

As a strategic partner of the regional teaching school hub, our trust leads on new teacher induction and staff development and training across Torbay and South Devon, and the children in our schools benefit from working with leaders who have a proven track record in school improvement in both our own schools and others across the region.

During my time with the trust I have seen first-hand how our collaborative approach and relentless focus on high standards for all, can make a positive change in children's lives, and I am proud of the contribution that Shiphay makes to our trust and the trust makes to Shiphay.
