Focused on the holistic development of children, the Orchard Nursery is a place to learn, a place to play, a place to grow, flourish and thrive. Our approach is built upon the understanding that every child is a unique individual with unlimited potential. An extension of the family home, the Orchard Nursery is a calm environment filled with neutral tones, soft furnishings, plants and tranquil play spaces, creating a state of hygge, where children feel safe and secure to snuggle down or explore with confidence. 

Our learning environment is carefully curated to promote curiosity, imagination and independence.  We place a strong emphasis on building positive relationships, developing independence, and fostering a nurturing environment. In the Orchard Nursery, every child feels safe, valued, respected, and supported in developing essential skills across all areas of learning.

The transition to a nursery is a big thing for children as they move from home into a new learning space, often for the first time. Our nurturing practice promotes emotional well-being, togetherness, and friendship, bringing joy, happiness, awe, and wonder to early childhood as children follow their own ideas and schematic learning styles and make memories they will remember and cherish forever. 

With a belief that knowledge is not something to be delivered but explored, we aim to teach children' how' to think and not 'what' to think and have the confidence to develop their own theories about the world. Through building positive relationships, every child learns to effectively communicate with their teachers and fellow students in the nursery to support their foundation for lifelong progress. The skills and knowledge they develop here at the Orchard Nursery will greatly impact their aptitude and attitude later in life.
