Life has changed for everyone, but the power of words hasn’t changed. To celebrate World Poetry Day on 21 March, Sky Academy, in partnership with Apples and Snakes, launched a competition inviting pupils from across the nation to think about their thoughts and feelings during the lockdown and to express them in a poem.
After participating in three inspiring online workshops led by professional poets from Apples and Snakes, all of Year 6 wrote a lockdown poem. A number of pupils entered their poem into the competition.
