Welcome to Year 2’s Home Learning page

In response to the Coronavirus pandemic, the Year Two Team have created this online learning space that will be updated with teaching and learning ideas and activities that can be carried out at home. The team will add daily tasks and activities for you and your children to carry out. Outcomes to tasks can be recorded in Home Learning books or electronically and can be shared via photos or screenshots in an email with your teachers. Learning can be emailed to teachers using the email addresses below. Also, if you have any questions or queries related to the children's home learning whilst school is closed please use the same email addresses for contact:

Heron@rivieraet.co.uk  (Miss Butcher and Miss Chubb)

Avocet@rivieraet.co.uk (Mrs Lee, Mrs Jenkins and Miss Chubb)

We will do our best to maintain usual school hours of contact (8:45am - 4pm).

You Made it!

A gigantic WELL DONE for all of your hard work and effort this half term. You have all been aspirational and we are incredibly proud of each and every one of you. Now go and have a lovely Summer break, stay safe and alert, and we look forward to seeing you in September.

Women in Engineering Day

On Tuesday 23rd June 2020, we celebrate the achievements of many wonderful women who have worked hard to change and shape the world as we know it today. From travelling to space, creating paper bags and building bridges. Click the link below to find out more. If you are feeling really Aspirational you may decide to make a poster or fact-file about some of these amazing women. You could do this on Purple Mash. You can also enjoy some stories about some of the worlds wonderful women, Jane Goodall, Coco Chanel, Amelia Earhart and Rosa Parks, using the videos below.

If you want to find out more specifically about Women in Engineering you could have a go at using the worksheet below to research and find out about some female engineers.
