Creative Writing Y3-6

KS2 (Years 3, 4, 5 and 6) Creative Writing Club

KS2 Creative Writing club will take place on Tuesdays (until 4.15pm) throughout Summer Term. This club will provide our KS2 children the time and resources to write independently and creatively. I will provide the children with printed resources, paper and pens for their own projects that they decide to create - whether that is an adventure story, a poem, a newspaper article, a diary entry - it will be completely child- led and a time for them to engage in their own creativity.

Throughout the session, I will have relaxing music and encourage the children to access all the resources that I set out in Skylark classroom independently, so they can have full ownership of what they create.

Children will need to be collected at 4.15pm from the main school gate. Alternatively, if they are booked in for hub, I will take them to the hall at the end of the creative writing session.

Please email ldrohan@rivieraet.co.uk to sign up to this course.

Kind regards,

Miss Drohan.

Creative Writing Club - Tuesday 30th April 2024

The children have made a great start in this Term's creative writing club. They have independently chosen what they would like to write about and how they would like to record this. Some of the amazing writing that has been created so far: A descriptive piece of writing based on an aquarium scene, a film review created on Google Slides, a local football match report using sports reporter language created on Google Docs, a diary entry about a child's week so far, creative writing based on nature recorded in a personal notepad and a biography about a professional female surfer.

Fantastic writing KS2!
