Friends of Shiphay School (FOSS)

FOSS aims to offer parents the opportunity to get involved in the life of the school through a variety of activities each term. These range from social evenings and fundraising activities to curriculum events. This helps to foster good relationships between children, parents and teachers. The fundraising helps ensure that children of Shiphay have access to the best resources available.

Every parent of a child in the school automatically becomes a member of FOSS. The Association, which is a registered charity, is organised by a group of parents and any new parents, who would like to become involved and serve on the committee, will be very welcome.

We have a fabulous FOSS Committee and small core group of volunteers. However, they are all working parents and this means they are already stretched. If we are going to continue to run lovely events like discos, scooter parties, Summer Fairs etc, then we need some more willing pairs of hands.

Without the FOSS team there would be no events and no “extras” for the children as a result of their fundraising. Even an hour at an event can make a big difference. Please contact FOSS today: foss@rivieraet.co.uk
