SENCO - MATERNITY COVER

 

Roselands Primary School is part of the Riviera Education Trust which is a multi-academy trust consisting of three local primary schools: Roselands Primary School, Shiphay Learning Academy and Oldway Primary School. We work in collaboration with Oldway Primary School and Shiphay Learning Academy in order to benefit all of the children in the Trust. Working in partnership with other schools helps to strengthen our provision and provide educational excellence so that every pupil has the best possible learning experience and is prepared for future life.

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic SENCO to join our outstanding team at Roselands Primary School, on a part time maternity contract. 

 

The SENCO is required to carry out the duties of a schoolteacher as set out in the School Teachers’ Pay and Conditions Document and the Teachers’ Standards, and in accordance with the ‘Special Educational Needs and Disability Regulations 2014’. Additionally, the SENCO will have the strategic overview of the school’s SEND policy and Local Offer as they hold responsibility for its day-to-day practical implementation by all teaching and support staff. The key purpose of the role is to ensure that all pupils, and namely those with SEND, achieve their potential.

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Classroom Teacher to cover a Maternity period for 3 days a week, to join our outstanding team at Roselands Primary School. You will lead learning and teaching within EYFS, planning and delivering an exciting, creative and engaging curriculum that meets the needs and interests of all pupils within the class. You will deploy support staff effectively to support, extend and assess pupils’ learning. Learning will focus on key skills in English and maths as well as social, emotional and personal development and all areas of the National Curriculum. A key aspect of the role will be supporting parents in their children’s learning, developing pupils’ independence and curiosity, monitoring and assessing pupil progress and reporting on progress to parents and senior leaders. You will also be responsible for creating an exciting, stimulating and hands-on learning environment for the pupils in your class.
