Y3 Recorder Cub

This is Recorders for beginners and children do not need to have previously played a musical instrument to be able to take part. It is good fun learning to play an instrument with others and a great skill to learn to read music; in past years, several of our older pupils have continued with the Recorder and have gone on to play in the school orchestra. 

Recorder Club will take place on Thursdays from 3.15-4.15pm, starting Thursday 22nd September and will resume after October half term on Thursday 3rd November.

Children attending Recorder Club will ideally need to have their own descant recorder in school every Thursday. We do keep a number of descant recorders in school that children can borrow should they forget theirs, but it is better if children have their own, to enable them to practise at home. The brand Aulos is recommended; their descant recorder can be bought from several online sites for around £10 (currently available on Amazon for around £12) but there are also other brands available at a similar price.

If your child would like to attend Recorder Club, please complete the Google Form by 12pm on Friday 16th September. If the club is oversubscribed, names will be placed in a hat. You will be informed whether or not your child has a place on Friday.
