Shiphay Learning Academy Orchestra

Shiphay Learning Academy Orchestra is open to pupils who already have some knowledge of playing a musical instrument or to any pupil who has an interest in joining the percussion section of the orchestra. Orchestra is a fantastic opportunity for children to develop their instrumental skills and learn to play as part of an ensemble and new members are always welcome. 

The rehearsals this term will take place on: 

Wednesday 21st September, Wednesday 28th September, Wednesday 5th October, Wednesday 12th October, Wednesday 19th October, Wednesday 2nd November, Wednesday 9th November, Wednesday 16th November, Wednesday 23rd November, Wednesday 30th November

Rehearsals will take place in the iZone between 8:30am and 9:15am.  Children will need to come to the main gate between 8:20am and 8:30am and come into school via Breakfast Club. We will then rehearse until 9:15am, ensuring that the children are back in class in plenty of time to get prepared for lessons.  

This term we will be working towards performances at the Christmas Fair and Christmas Performances.  In addition to this, there will be opportunities for the children to perform in school assemblies.
